What we do with your details.
No trackers you did not agree to, no lists sold to anybody, and a phone number at the top of the page if you would rather just ask.
Haven Crags Campsite is a family business, and this is a plain-English account of what we do with your details. If anything here is unclear, ring us on 01665 720 000 and ask.
We do not sell your details to anybody, and we never will. Nothing below quietly walks that back.
Who we are
Haven Crags Campsite, Swinhoe Lane, Beadnell, Northumberland NE67 5BQ. We are the data controller for everything described here. Our registration with the Information Commissioner's Office is ZB219047.
What we collect, and why
When you book
Your name, address, email, phone number, vehicle registration and the names and ages of everyone staying. We need these to hold the pitch, to know who is on site in an emergency, and to meet the fire and licensing conditions our site licence carries.
When you pay
Card payments are taken by Stripe. The card number never reaches our systems — we see only the last four digits and whether the payment succeeded.
When you email or fill in the enquiry form
Whatever you write to us, plus your name and the address you sent it from, so that we can reply.
When you visit this website
Nothing, unless you agree to it. This site sets no cookies and loads no third-party scripts until you accept them in the banner. If you decline, or ignore the banner, we get no analytics from your visit at all, and the site works exactly the same.
How long we keep it
Booking records — seven years after your stay, because HMRC requires it of the accounts they form part of.
Enquiries that did not become bookings — twelve months, then deleted.
Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe, which every email we send has a link for.
CCTV at the gate and the shower block — fourteen days on a rolling loop, then overwritten.
Who else sees it
Only the people who have to, and only the part they need:
Stripe takes the payment.
Our booking system stores the reservation.
Our accountant sees the transaction, not your stay.
The emergency services, if there is an incident on site and they ask.
We use no advertising networks and no data brokers.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to what we are doing with it. Write to the address above or email hello@havencrags.co.uk and we will answer within one month. If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
