Booking terms.

The short version: book honestly, look after the place, and we will look after you. The longer version is below, and it is the version that applies.

Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed when we have taken the deposit and sent you a confirmation email — not before. The deposit is 30% of the total, or the full amount for stays of two nights or fewer. The balance is due fourteen days before you arrive, and we take it automatically from the card on file.

Pitch fees include two adults, one vehicle and electric hook-up where the pitch has it. Extra adults, extra vehicles, dogs and the drying room are charged as shown on the pitches page.

Changing or cancelling

• More than 28 days before arrival — move your dates once at no charge, or cancel for a full refund less a £20 administration fee.

• 14 to 28 days before — we refund the balance and keep the deposit.

• Fewer than 14 days — we keep what has been paid, unless we can re-let the pitch, in which case we refund what we recover.

We are not able to refund for weather. Northumberland is what it is, and the forecast is not a cancellation reason. Travel insurance covers what this does not.

Arriving and leaving

Arrivals from 2pm, departures by 11am. If you are going to arrive after 8pm, tell us in advance and we will leave the gate code and a plan of the field for you. Late arrivals without notice may find the gate shut.

While you are here

Quiet hours

11pm to 7am, and we mean it. One generator, one speaker or one late group can undo a whole field's holiday, and we will ask you to leave if asking nicely does not work.

Fires

Fire pits are allowed on hardstanding and on the stands we lend out, never directly on the grass. Wood is sold in the shop; please do not burn pallets, driftwood or anything painted.

Dogs

Two per pitch, on a lead everywhere except the dog field, and never left alone in a unit or an awning. Clear up after them — there are bins at both gates.

Children

Your responsibility at all times, particularly near the burn and on the cliff path.

Vehicles

5mph on site, and one vehicle per pitch. The overflow car park is by the barn.

Things we are not liable for

We do our best but we are not responsible for your belongings, your vehicle, or anything left in the drying room. The site is a working field on a coastal farm: there are uneven surfaces, farm traffic, livestock in the adjoining land and a tidal beach at the bottom of the path. Please use your judgement.

If something goes wrong

Tell us while you are here. Almost everything is fixable on the day and almost nothing is fixable in a review three weeks later. Reception is open 8am to 8pm and one of us is on the end of the phone the rest of the time.
